Introducing Voubox: discount codes, shared by creators
· The Voubox team
Today we’re opening Voubox: a simple way for brands to put discount codes in the hands of creators, and for creators to give them to the people who follow them.
The problem with promo codes
If you’ve ever run a creator campaign, you know how it goes. A brand makes one shared code, say CREATOR20, and sends it out. Within a week it’s on every coupon site, and nobody can tell which creator actually drove the sales. Or the brand makes hundreds of one-time codes and emails spreadsheets around, and someone has to keep track of who got which.
Creators have it hard too. Offers arrive in DMs and inboxes, each with its own rules, and there’s no one place to show followers what’s available.
How Voubox works
Voubox has three sides, and each one is simple.
Brands post deals
A brand uploads a batch of one-time codes, or one shared code with a limit, adds the offer and its terms, and decides how many codes each creator can reserve. Deals can be open to every approved creator, or need the brand’s approval first. Each deal shows how many views, opens and clips it gets from each creator.
Creators reserve codes for their followers
Creators browse deals and reserve a batch of codes for their audience. Those codes appear on their own page, voubox.com/@their-handle, ready to share in a bio link, a story or a video description. Reserved codes belong to that creator’s page, so their followers aren’t competing with everyone else on the internet.
Followers get a code in one tap
No account, no sign-up form. A follower taps a deal on a creator’s page and the code appears, with a button to shop. They can email the code to themselves if they want to keep it, and choose whether to share their email with the brand. When a creator’s batch runs out, the deal shows as all claimed.
More than codes: collabs
Brands can also post collabs, gifted or paid, and invite creators or let them apply. Once a creator is in, both sides get a shared workspace with live messages, a progress tracker from “approved” to “completed”, and invoices with a downloadable PDF. A kanban board helps keep many collabs in order.
Built with creators’ privacy in mind
We heard the same thing again and again from creators: they don’t want their deals turned into a public list of who works with whom. So on Voubox, brands never see creators’ email addresses, and a brand’s public page never shows which creators share its deals. Followers stay anonymous unless they choose otherwise.
Top creators
Creators who consistently deliver can earn the Top creator badge, which lets them work with every brand on Voubox, not only the ones they’re connected with.
