Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Voubox when you use voubox.com. By using Voubox, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. What Voubox is

Voubox lets brands offer discount codes (“deals”) and collaborations (“collabs”) to creators, and lets creators share codes with their followers on their own Voubox page. Voubox is an independent project, not a registered company, and is currently free. “Voubox”, “we” and “us” mean the people who run voubox.com. If Voubox becomes a company, we’ll update these terms with its details. Voubox is a platform that connects these parties. We aren’t the seller of any product, we don’t issue the discounts, and we aren’t a party to agreements between brands and creators.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18, and able to form a binding contract, to create an account. Followers don’t need an account to get a code.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. If you act for a brand or business, you confirm you’re authorised to bind it to these terms.
  • You sign in with links sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • Creator accounts are reviewed before their page goes live. We may approve or decline applications at our discretion.
  • Choose a handle that doesn’t impersonate anyone or infringe anyone’s rights. We may reclaim or change handles that do.

3. For brands

  • You’re responsible for your deals and collabs: the offer, its terms, the codes you upload, and honouring them at checkout while the deal is live and for codes already given out.
  • Only upload codes you’re entitled to distribute, and describe offers accurately, including any exclusions and end dates.
  • Information about creators and followers you get through Voubox may only be used for the deal or collab it relates to, and in line with the law. Followers’ emails shared with you may only be used as the follower agreed.
  • For paid collabs, you’re responsible for paying creators as agreed with them. Voubox doesn’t handle payments between brands and creators.

4. For creators

  • Share codes honestly and only in places you’re allowed to post. Don’t post them on coupon or deal aggregator sites unless the brand agrees.
  • Disclose your relationships. When you promote a brand, its products or its codes, follow the advertising and endorsement rules that apply to you (such as the US FTC Endorsement Guides), and disclose gifts, payments and affiliate links clearly. See our affiliate disclosure.
  • If you add affiliate tracking (such as an Amazon Associates tag), you must follow that programme’s rules.
  • Deliver collabs as agreed with the brand. Invoices you send through Voubox must be accurate.

5. For followers

Codes are offered by brands, and their terms are set by the brand. Availability is limited, codes may run out or expire, and a brand may limit codes to one per customer. Voubox isn’t responsible for a brand’s products, prices, delivery or refunds; contact the brand about those.

6. Rules for everyone

Don’t use Voubox to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • post content that is false or misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that promotes illegal or dangerous products;
  • collect codes in bulk, get around “one per customer” limits, scrape the site, or resell codes;
  • send spam, impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection with a brand or creator;
  • interfere with Voubox’s security or operation, or access it by automated means without our permission.

You can report anything that breaks these rules through Report a problem.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload (such as logos, photos, text, codes and messages). You give Voubox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and adapt it as needed to run, promote and improve Voubox, for as long as it’s on Voubox and for a reasonable time after. You confirm you have the rights to grant this licence.

Voubox, its name, logo, design and software belong to us. Don’t copy or use them without permission, except as these terms allow.

8. Fees

Voubox is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, we’ll tell you the price before you’re charged, and you won’t pay for anything you haven’t agreed to.

9. Third parties

Voubox links to stores, product pages and other sites we don’t control, and some features rely on third-party programmes such as Amazon Associates. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

10. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Voubox at any time, and ask us to close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts, remove content, or pause deals that break these terms, create risk for others, or are required by law. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability and disputes) survive after your account closes.

11. Disclaimers

Voubox is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t make any promises about the service beyond those in these terms, including that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or about any deal, product, brand or creator. Brands are responsible for their offers, and creators for what they post.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Voubox won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Voubox is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

13. Indemnity

If you use Voubox for business (as a brand or creator), you agree to cover Voubox’s reasonable losses and costs from claims by others caused by your content, your deals or collabs, or your breach of these terms or the law.

14. Disputes

If you have a problem with Voubox, please contact us first; most things can be sorted out quickly. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live, including consumer protection law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Voubox changes. We’ll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email or on the site before they take effect. If you keep using Voubox after that, the new terms apply.

16. General

These terms, with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Voubox about the service. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still do so later. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to a company set up to run Voubox, or to a new operator, and we’ll tell you before that happens.
